I am Marie, and this has been one of my many on and off journals over my life. This one recently went through basically years-worth hiatus, but because of popular LJ demand I am writing in it again. I am a different person from when I started. And I've learned many things about journaling publicly. This reincarnation is now reserved for my happy journaling and my interesting memory reflections instead of for writing therapeutically as it once was.
Either way, about me? I am just a 23 year old half-asian half-gay woman, who appears to love life and all of life's experiences. I love to think as much as I love to laugh. I am a mixture of extremes, shy and outgoing, happy and sad, on or off. I thrive in one-on-one conversations and on confessionalism. I enjoy connecting with people as well as ideas. I am a visual thinker. I am notorious for not remembering names and faces, but I will remember stories. I am undeniably a sexual being. My happiest place is laying in bed naked with lots of comforters and close people, or strapped tightly into my bodice at faire amongst smiles. I have lost myself recently but am on the road to rediscovery. I have numerous idiosyncrasies. I have a knife phobia, but I am fine with boxcutters and swords. I am an organizer. I heart dorks. I am often uncessarily verbose.
I am a writer, or at least, I used to be. I am a digital artist and photo retouch and production specialist at a photography studio where we do portraits, weddings, and gay photography, but I am also an indexer where I write the indexes for refeence books for clients such as Wiley, McGraw-Hill, and the American Psychiatric Association. I enjoy doing freelance work; I specialize in web development and design, but I want to break into print some more. I used to be a programmer and computer geek but have laid that by the wayside. I am a Knight for NE Rennies, which keeps my free time filled up. I live in a duplex with my fiance and a roommate who is our friend, landlord, and best man. I am a Capricorn sun, with Cancer rising, and an Aquarius moon.
I have a curious mind. I often give people disclaimers about myself. I like to know about the inner workings of other people. I will open myself to those who wish to read, in trust and confidence both ways. I will continue this description of myself until I force myself to stop. Which is now.
